Picked it up like a week and a half ago at Spencers...I think they are the only place carrying it right now.

I gotta say, it's one of the best toys / sets I've ever bought. The detail is astounding and everything is superbly made. And I hate to say it - being a huge supporter of Movie Maniacs - but IMO this Michael Myers and the new 18" Mike are far superior to the ones McF has made. I really love this set, it's one of my favorite toys now

yeah, I'm sure the fact that McF's Mikes are much older has something to do with it. But then take a look at McF's 18" Freddy vs. NECA's 18" Freddy. IMO McF's 18" Fred still blows away NECA's version...yet McF's 18" Freddy is as old as their 18" Mike. So age may have something to do with it, but it's certainly not everything. I think McF just never really nailed Mike's likeness, and NECA picked up on that and set out to do better. It's just a shame because McF had the license first and could have easily put out a set just as good as NECAs...it just seems they had no interest in doing so.

Really, it doesn't matter one way or the other to me who made what...all I know is SOMEONE made a kick ass Halloween boxed set and that's really awesome because I've always been a little disappointed with McF's take on Mike.

saw it at SPencer's a few days ago...
looks nice, but too pricey (read:Spencer's), and I''m not enough of a Halloween fan to spend that much.

Did you see the 18"ers and the box sets....and how much were they? I've been patiently waiting for Suncoast to get them here instead of getting ass-raped by Spencers high ass prices....

Suncoast had both: the 18" and the boxed set. Not sure about the prices though since it's not something I was really interesting in.
